Road base is a compacted layer of crushed gravel or rock used as a foundation for roads, driveways, pathways, and other surfaces requiring a stable and durable base. 


It provides a solid platform for heavier surfaces like asphalt or concrete, and helps distribute weight, improve drainage, and prevent cracking or shifting 

Concrete Blocks for Sale

Uses -Separate materials like fertilizer from stock feed pellets, soil/gravel separation. Concrete blocks are ideal for building retaining walls due to their strength and ability to hold soil. Planters and Raised Garden Beds:These blocks can form the base or sides of planters or raised garden beds. 

Fire Pits:They can be used to construct fire pits, providing a durable and stable base.

Costs for delivery and pickup can vary based on the distance, location and traffic conditions. The length of time you need the bin will affect the price.  Exceeding agreed-upon weight limits or overloading the bin can result in additional charges.



    What you can't put in - Ring us to be sure

    • Food Waste – Fruit, vegetables, meat, takeaway food.
    • Putrescible waste -rapidly decaying organic material with high moisture content.
    • Includes food waste, used nappies adult and child. Sanitary products. These materials due to their nature, generate odours and attract vermin therefore are not to be placed in skip bins.
    • Hazardous Items –Asbestos, explosive, toxic, noxious or dangerous materials.
    • Hazardous liquid and poisons.
    • Tyres - to be discussed with Yellow Bins.
    • No E Batteries – Fire hazard.
    • Human or animal waste.
    • Medical waste
    • Do not Overfill the skip bin, contents will spill out and will be hazardous to other road users.

    • Heavy waste (e.g., concrete, bricks) costs more due to landfill weight fees. 💡 We match bin size and price to the type and volume of waste you’re disposing of.

    • Environmental regulations These all influence how your waste must be handled — and what it costs.

    • Driver wages: 1–3+ hours per delivery at $30/hr = up to $90
    • Fuel: A 30km trip (e.g., Industrial Ave to Urangan) ≈ $50 in fuel
    • Delays: Roadworks, school zones, and traffic
    • Maintenance & insurance: Ongoing industry-wide costs These costs exist before the bin is even used.

    TERMS & CONDITIONS

    Effective as of 30th June 2025 

    Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services provided by Yellow Bins. By booking or using our skip bin services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. 


    1. Booking & Service 

    Availability:
    Skip bins are subject to availability. We operate 7 days a week; however, availability may vary depending on demand. 

    Booking Process:
    All bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance for standard service. 

    Delivery & Pickup:
    Yellow Bins will deliver and collect the skip bin at the agreed time. Customers must ensure clear and safe access to the delivery and pickup location. 


    2. Waste & Recycling 

    Acceptable Waste:
    We accept general household waste, construction debris, garden waste, and recyclable materials. Please contact us for guidance on specific waste types. 

    Prohibited Waste:
    The following items are strictly prohibited in Yellow Bins: 

    • Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, asbestos, oils, paints) 
    • Electrical appliances (unless pre-approved) 
    • Lithium Batteries 
    • Tyres 
    • Gas bottles or flammable items
    • Liquids or food waste 

    Recycling:
    We are committed to sustainable waste management and encourage customers to separate recyclables from general waste whenever possible.  


    3. Payment

    Pricing:
    Service costs are provided upon booking and vary based on:

     Skip bin size
    Duration of hire
    Distance traveled

    Additional Charges:
    Extra charges may apply for:

       Excess weight
      Extended hire periods
      Disposal of prohibited items
    Customers will be notified of any applicable additional fees prior to disposal.
     

    4. Usage of Skip Bins

    Overloading:
    Bins must not be loaded above the rim. Overfilled bins will not be collected, and additional charges may apply.

    Bin Placement:
    Bins should be placed in a location that is safe, level, and accessible. If our driver deems the area unsafe or obstructed, delivery or pickup may be delayed or canceled.


    5. Liability & Damage

    Damage to Property:
    Yellow Bins is not liable for any damage to driveways, lawns, or surrounding areas during bin delivery, placement, or removal. Customers must ensure the chosen location is safe and suitable.

    Use of Bin:
    Customers are responsible for using the bin correctly. Yellow Bins will not be held liable for loss, damage, or injury resulting from improper use.


    6. Cancellation & Refunds

    Cancellations:
    Bookings may be canceled or modified up to 24 hours before scheduled delivery with no penalty. Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery will incur a cancellation fee.

    Refunds:
    Refunds for unused services will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly to discuss any refund requests.


    7. Customer Responsibilities

    Compliance with Laws:
    Customers must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to waste disposal. Any fines or penalties incurred due to improper disposal will be the customer's responsibility.

    Access & Safety:
    Customers must ensure that the site is accessible and safe for our drivers. Unobstructed and secure access is required for both delivery and pickup.


    8. Termination of Service

    Yellow Bins reserves the right to terminate or suspend services without notice if:

     These Terms and Conditions are violated
    Prohibited items are disposed of in the bin
    Payment is not received for services rendered
     

    9. Changes to Terms

    Yellow Bins may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website or communicated directly to customers.
